About Us

MJPTBCWR School- Shayampet (Boys)

MJPTBCWR School – Shayampet (Boys) was founded in 1999 by the AP Residential Institutes Society (APREI), Government of Andhra Pradesh. The school started its journey with an initial enrollment of 50 students in grades 5 and 8, operating from a temporary setup in an old rice mill in Shayampet. Despite the resource-limited environment and minimal teaching staff, the school aimed for high academic achievements from the outset.

In 2001-2002, regular teachers were appointed, and the first batch of 19 students graduated with a 100% pass rate, with one student gaining admission to the prestigious BITS Pilani in 2004. This commitment to excellence continued with each graduating batch, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the teachers and staff.

Overcoming Challenges and Growth

From 2002 to 2010, students thrived under the guidance of dedicated teachers who instilled discipline and teamwork. Significant progress was made when Sri. Konda Murali and Smt. Konda Surekha generously donated land for the current school location. The government then provided buildings, infrastructure, and basic amenities, ensuring a smooth transition to the new school premises.

In the 2012-13 academic year, a new society was established by the government to manage the Backward Classes Welfare Residential Schools. As per G.O.Ms.Nos. 6 & 7 BC Welfare (B2) Dept., dated 02-4-2012 & 11-4-2012, 45 BC Residential Schools were transferred from APREI Society to the newly formed Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (MJPAPBCWREIS).

Following the bifurcation of the state in July 2014, the Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society was formed, continuing the mission of providing quality education to children from Backward Classes and other communities.
